Device Management

VTconsole offers device management functions thus making administration of large sites with many devices easy. These functions are implemented by means of web services. The services are used for several tasks by a central device manager program like VTconsoleAssistant.

Deployment of entire configuration sets

You can: Setup a configuration template on one device, save the template at a central location in your network and distribute the template to all devices of your site.

Lock the configuration

Lock the deployed configuration against any user change attempts.

Messages

Send a text message to a device. It will be presented to the user at once and must be acknowledged by him. Example:

Logfile

VTconsole is logging events with certain event levels. Set the log level and download the log file to your computer.

Identification

Identify the current state of VTconsole: Which release, which configuration id.
