Since 12. January 2017 the new Version 3.3.0 of VTconsole is available in the App Store.
New functionality is now made available via In-App Purchase modules.
The first module is called „Shared Device“. It offers the ability to enter login data for all profiles at one central point. Thus it is very easy to hand over a device on shift change to the next fellow while retaining the autologin facility. The login data can be captured with barcode scanner resp. builtin camera.
- iOS 10 support.
- The builtin camera capture screen is enhanced by a hairline cross.
- The list of allowed barcodes for the builtin camera can be edited by the user.

Best Telnet/SSH App
Downloaded different Telnet/SSH App from the app store. This is is the best. Customizable keyboard made it really effective for our application. Very very useful.
and about VTconsoleConfigurator
I purchased this app to customize VTConsole app. I found it very easy to use. I was able to modify VTConsole configuration for mass deployment. Customizing keyboard is sweet. It made VTConsole app on iPod with barcode sled more preferable than old fashioned handheld barcode scanners. I would definitely recommend this product together with VTConsole and VTConsoleAssistant to those who’s thinking of replacing their old handheld barcode scanners. I tried to email Frank the author of the app for some queries and he responded right away and was very helpful. EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO DO WITH A HANDHELD BARCODE SCANNER, this guy figured it all out.

Review in iTunes Store (America) by “Nick Man”:
I was looking for a solution to connect our iPhones and iPads to our barcode server for our ERP system. We currently use very bulky and expensive Windows CE devices that use a telnet application to run a script so we can make inventory transactions and scan labels on the shop floor.
Anyway I tested multiple iOS telnet apps and none of them worked very well or at all. When I tested VTConsole it worked the best with the nicest interface by far. There were some bugs but the developer Frank, quickly worked with me in finding the bugs and releasing a new version. He was willing to FaceTime me all the way from Germany in order to find the bugs and get a perfectly functioning app.
I can now scan barcodes with my camera and see our inventory from my phone now.
This app is worth the money strictly for the support but also for the software. Thanks Frank!
